I'm already stuffed from the Easter Eggs I got, my favourite egg was the white chocolate one, it was dreamy, heavenly and now sadly... all gone. Sob sob, anyways I have others to look forward too!! :)

So before I go- another bit of good news, I'm sure you all know but another Limited Edition collection is on its way!

From this preview (I got e-mailed from Stardoll) I know the summer collection will be fabulous. I'm loving everything (especially the hot pink jumpsuit) but what looks like a bra and knickers worries me!

Random News...

*CAUTION: If you find boring stuff boring do not bother to read this post*

Okaaay, nothing really exciting has occurred on Stardoll recently so, unlike the usual me, I'm going to post about some random, (not really 'extraordinary' or even 'interesting'), things that have happened in the past 'Stardolling' week.

I'm going to start with the newest doll released which is called 'DivaGirls', why I'm posting about these girls I've never even heard of? Because they're probably the worst graphically designed and most tacky dolls Stardoll ever designed, look below if you dare...

That doll or those dolls do not look like something you'd find on Stardoll maybe they're promoting a cartoon? Also they're labelled under 'Actors'- they look like girls to me! I hate that background too- it looks like something you'd find on i-Dressup *shudders*.

My next bit of random news is that the newest theme on Stardoll is 'Street Dancer' which is all very 'Gangsta'-ish which would mean it doesn't really suit me but there is some uber-cute items released for the theme like the Loop NYC Radio Bags- they are so cool (sorry, do I sound like an eight year old, I'l try to use more complex words than cool!). They are gratifying!

Also the blue jumpsuit we've all saw on the start-page on Stardoll has finally been released, I love it.... but my favourite of them is all is the adorable, uber-cute...

Yorkshire Terrier in a bag!

Yipee, my favourite dog ever.. in a bag... virtually! That dog is the spitting image of my yorkie in real life, he goes by the name of Frisky! That's what I'll call my newly purchased virtual dog! Why I called him Frisky? Because he is always jumping on me when I see him but he's so tiny and cute!

Make-Up your MeDoll

I know I've began an article like this before but unfortunately I've to begin this article with this apology, yet again. The apology is the same as the last time- I'm sorry I haven't posted in like two weeks and my excuse is the same as the last time too- school. I'm getting so much homework and tests recently so I never have time to log on Stardoll- let alone make posts on this blog. But it's the Easter holidays now so hopefully for the next two weeks I'll get to post more... I'm saying hopefully because my life is still hectic even during the holidays because I have drama/singing classes, I still have to study for my summer exams which are coming up soon- at the end of May and I'll be gone on holidays in a week!

Anyways, enough with my personal life... let's go on to the topic of the post which is the new make-up shop, Dot, (old news.. I know) and the new layout in the Styling Studio!

'Dot'

When I first heard Sephora was being replaced with a new virtual make-up shop, 'Dot', Stardoll's own brand I was hoping that lip gloss and sparkly eyeshadow would be for sale in the new shop but now that 'Dot' is released to my dismay is has basically the exact same products as 'Sephora' but some are way more expensive... oh please come back, 'Sephora'. Even though the lipsticks, mascara etc. have a much funkier container with a nice effect in 'Dot' I prefer 'Sephora's', I thought 'Sephora's' was much more chic and elegant. I did buy the electric blue mascara however because it's new and hot though I don't think I'll ever wear it! :) I also bought the electric pink lip pen because I think the colour is gorgeous- that's one advantage of 'Dot' some of the colours are bolder and brighter! I do have to admit the 'Dot' blushers are much nicer too! So I suppose right now I can't decide which shop I like more! What about you?

Styling Studio

Above is one of the new layouts to the Styling Studio. Yes, there's two sections to it now- one for hair, make-up and jewellery (above), the other's for your Actual MeDoll e.g your nose, eyes, mouth (below). I am in love with the new layout for the make-up section (above), it much more glamorous and elegant! Way better than the crummy old one! I love it so much, word cannot express it! (A bit too dramatic, yeah?) I think it's great the way you can move your MeDoll and put the jewellery on any part of your body now- who knows maybe make-up for your body will be released soon as well? When I say that I mean nail varnish for your fingers and toes!

Below is the new layout for your actual MeDoll, even though I don't like it as much as the other section in the Styling Studio it's still nice! I think it's fun looking and not tacky like the old one! All and all I love the changes to the Styling Studio! What about you?

April Hot Buys

The April Hot Buys preview has been released and even though it may not be the best yet, it's better than last month anyway. That was my first reaction... but the more I look at it- the nicer and more stylish the clothes seem to be! They made a lot of the clothes small on the preview and the pink print dress it kind of covered up by the black fur vest so I can't wait to see them in big form. Anywho... I can see them well enough to review and grade them.

1. Splendid Hot Buys Headband- Hmm.. I don't really wear these types of headbands but this gold one is nice enough and it does have a nice unique design, it almost looks like a 'Celtic' design which is cool! B+

2. Rio Hot Buys Vest- This fur (seeing as it's virtual- obviously faux!) vest from 'Sonia Rykiel' looks more like a scarf to me and wouldn't actually look nice as a vest in my opinion. I would wear it as a long black faux fur scarf over a nice long dress and it would look gorgeous! Grading it as a vest..*shudders at the thought*... I'd give it a D-.... as a faux fur scarf...a B-

3. Bisou Hot Buys Print Dress- Even though I can't see the whole 'Stella McCartney' dress on the picture (and the Hot Buys Spring 2009 doll hasn't been released yet) I can see enough of the printed 'YSL' dress to know that I love it! It's design seems funky and fun to me, the shine is lovely too and the shape perfects it. A-

4. Pretty In Pink Hot Buys Blazer- I feel, for some strange reason, that I should like this 'Luella' blazer, maybe beacuse so many others do... but I don't. Believe it or not! It almost bores me, to me it's like something you'd see on a Western movie... and I have no idea why! Maybe it will look better on an actual MeDoll, anyways for now I'll have to give it what I think it deserves a.. C-

5. Pretty in Pink Hot Buys Heart Skirt- Unfortunately I don't heart this heart skirt inspired by Marc Jacobs. Sorry if you feel I'm giving out a lot! :) I know, the shape is pretty which would bring up it's grade but I actually don't like the colours or pattern used so from me it's a C+

6. Bisou Hot Buys Frock- This is one of my favourite items, the assymetric top and the bubble waist, it has a circus vibe (to match our blog's playlist!). I love it, possibly my favourite out of the April Hot Buys Collection and I'm giving it an A+

7. Fudge Hot Buys Tunic- I love this 'YSL' tunic- it's cute and flirty. Stardoll done a great job on this one, the real version isn't as nice but the real version has a 'YSL' locket instead of Stardoll's heart locket. B+

8. Bisou Hot Buys Necklace- I'm loving this necklace, maybe this is my favourite piece out of this month's Hot Buys actually! It's diva-licious! I am so buying this! A+

9. Rio Hot Buys Bow Purse- This 'Marc Jacobs' bow bag is so pretty and chic. I am buying this for sure! The shape isn't sooo unique but I love the simplicity of it. There's something about it that catches your attention! Yet another... A+

10. Pretty in Pink Hot Buys Heels- Oh Gawd, I love these! The colour, the design! So chic and stylish- I want these for my wardrobe, not just on Stardoll but in real life too! Do I have a new favourite of the whole collection, did I mention these shoes are 'Marc Jacobs'? A+

DenimDesign

Today I went to the StarDesign to see that there was 'denim' related items hanging on the wall of the clothes designing shop- a 'Denim' poster, denim colour samples and 'Carpe Denim' notes stuck on the pinboard. All of this suits Stardoll's current weekly theme, 'Carpe Denim'. I knew when I saw all of this that there must be new colours and clothes to suit the theme out in the StarDesign designing place so I went there and I saw I was right, well duh!

When I first went to design I saw the new 'denim' colours, (as seen above!), they're nice but that's what I was expecting anyway!

Above are the new available to design fabrics! Gorgeous, much?

I lurve them, especially the top two but... the prices... expensive, much?

I know, I know compared to LE or even Antidote they're cheap enough but I think Stardoll could have made them the slightest bit cheaper! Do you agree?

Of course I knew there must be new designs in the StarDesign Interior too and when I saw these (above) hanging on the wall in StarDesign Interior I knew I was right but when I went to design the furniture I saw the new colours but there was no new furniture available to design, you'd be expecting to see the furniture on the pinboard pictured above but no..?

Weird, huh? Maybe Stardoll just haven't got around to it yet or something..?

Antidote

The highly anticipated limited edition shop, 'Antidote', has been released at last and it won't be too long until it's gone because of the fact that all the items are limited!

This store is hawt and I really recommend you to get your hands on some of the items before their departure as most of the items are cheap compared to LE with prices ranging from 10 t0 100 Stardollars!

The best thing is... it's not just a girls clothes shop (though a lot of it is!) there are also some boys clothes (finally Stardoll realised they have a lot of male users!) and funky furniture!

I love the shop- the clothes are chic, unique and mostly denim! I bought my favourite clothes, which I will inform you about later in this article! Unfortunately there are a few ugly/boring items of clothing though! I don't take a fancy for the 'Antidote' vest top or a few of the jeans, also the cropped jacket with the huge number of zips! When it comes to the boys clothes, who am I to judge what boys like? Boys, I need you to comment on this one! As for the decor, one word.. funky! The only one I bought was the swaying 'Antidote' sign as I'm strapped for cash at the moment but some of the other decor such as the abstract punk painting and the hanging socks are cool too!

Above are the bag and parcel you get when you buy your items from the hawt shop, I'm lovin them! It was almost a shame to open them but I got over it when my favourite clothes of the shop popped out of the bags- all the clothes and the pair of shoes I bought from the collection= my faves!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Eeek, I'm happy!

You know why, it's good old Saint Paddy's day!

In case any of ye didn't know I'm 100% Irish and 100% Proud!

No school for three days and today is never ending, just to let you know there was huge parades and parties on in my town all day today but no, it's not over another disco is starting at half eleven so I'm practically going out the door now (of course I didn't forget about my loyal readers though!) so I thought I'd pop over to Stardoll for a few minutes! :)

I wasn't surprised to see that Stardoll was celebrating the joyous festival either by releasing a ton of fun, green merchandise!

Seeing as I had the few minutes (and Stardollars!), I made a very unstylish but fun and green room and dressed my MeDoll in the cheap, (I won't say chic!), green patriotic clothes Stardoll released for the occasion! They should have released an Irish flag too!

In real life, however, I hear New York put all of us Irish to shame (once again!) by having an even bigger parade than any of our towns or cities in Ireland! It's kind of ironic!

Well, gotta go- see ya in a mo! (Not really, lolz!)

The Mysterious Changing Dress

We all know Stardoll have changed the design of a lot of clothes in our suites by a little bit in the past, usually for the worse.

Like the time they changed our once-valuable Chanel clothes by replacing the Chanel 'CC' Logo with a crummy circle.

Also the time they changed the Hello Kitty t-shirt to a t-shirt with somewhat-resembling but much more boring, less cute etc. etc. cat.

Also when they replaced the Fendi symbol on the HotBuys bag to a double-rectangle.

I've noticed yet another change to one of my items of clothing in my suite, but this time, in my opinion, for the better!

My DKNY Pink T-Shirt Dress from the Fall 08 collection has been slightly changed to a new, more modern, better version. it's still the same dress but look at the picture below and you will notice the difference!

Luckily I had a picture of what the dress looked like before saved on my computer from when I first got the dress! Yes, I know my MeDoll wasn't the most attractive thing back then!!

Your opinion on the change (the dress not my MeDoll, lol!)

Now don't get me wrong the title of the post doesn't mean I don't like the necklace, I actually love it! There's a very summer/coral feel to it!

New Hairstyles

Yes, today Stardoll released new hairstyle for our MeDoll in the Styling Studio.

No, don't get your hopes up, it isn't a huge lot of gorgeous hairstyles like the last time...

it's two boring (and in my opinion ugly) hairstyles.

When I first heard the new hairstyles would be in the short hair section I got bored.

I despise short hair on girls, whatever about everyone saying it's "chic" and "stylish", I just don't like it. In my opinion it makes girls look like trannies.

Please don't get offended if you do like short hair or have it, I'm just simply stating my opinion.

Anyway, I don't know what possesed me to do it, but I tried them on to show all of my loyal readers, that includes you, what they look like.

This reminds me of Rihanna's latest do, yes the one where her fringe covers her eyes. I don't fancy it but I'd say it would look nice on some people. Again, you know how much I hate short hair on girls- that includes MeDolls! Woah, it was a sigh of relief when I put my gorgeous long hair back on my MeDoll. Anyways, this hairstyle is nice compared to the next one you are about to see...

DKNY- Stylish Spring

Hi there,

before I start my post on the DKNY Spring Collection I would like to apologise for the lack of posts recently, I know I haven't posted in like two weeks! The reason, you ask? Basically my life has been taken over by studying and concentrating on school, I'm sure you will all understand!

Now one other thing before I start my DKNY Spring 09 post is that, yes, I do know that the first part of this collection was released like 3-4 weeks ago and the second part, a few days ago but I never got around to giving all of you my opinions, rants and raves on them yet!

Shall I start:

DKNY Spring 2009: Part I

Despite the fact that a lot of people are saying that this collection isn't as good as they hoped it would be for the "Stardoll DKNY comeback", I love it! I think it represents everything Spring is supposed to be about! It contains all the latest trends for Spring: bold prints, polka dots and big bows. I also love shoes, they're funky yet stylish. My favourite items of this collection would have to be the Ikat Print Dress (the design is so unique and chic) and the oversized-bow belts, they're just gorgeous in every way! Unfortunately, I do have one or two complaints (hey, I am only human!) The scarves... ugh, I hate the shape Stardoll made them in and they remind me of Western movies for some strange reason! Also the pale yellow clothes would, in my opinion, have been nicer white.

What do you think?

DKNY Spring 2009: Part II

I love this part of the Spring collection too! For some reason I always connect orange with Spring so I feel this a very suitable colour Donna Karan used, ditto to the blue. In the first part to this collection most of the shoes were the same, just different colours but in this part they are all unique and individual, which is great! I especially love the black Open Toe Ankle Boots but they really remind me of the MKA Oxford Peep-Toes! My favourites of this collection would be the blue Sky Print dress and tube top! I love them, especially the shape of the top, so fun and energetic! I also adore the Twill Colourblock dress, it seems very 'organic' for some reason, like so may others, I am unaware of!! :) I don't want to diss Donna and her magnificent work but... those tasseled-tunics again remind me too much of Western movies! That skater-type printed tee with jumper underneath doesn't take my fancy either!

Once again, what do you think?

DKNY Spring 2009: To Be Released

As you can see from above, a lot of fabulous accessories will be released in the coming month from DKNY. See the picture to see when each lovely necklace or bracelet will be on sale and for how long. Yes that's right, there is a time limit to each one: one week. Don't get your hopes up though these probably won't become rares because of the one-week time limit because nearly everyone will always log on at least one a week! They are all to be pretty expensive though... seeing as the first one which is on sale now, the '20 years' one is 24 Stardollars! I bought it though, like the fool I am with money! :) My favourite is the 'DKNY' chain though I like them all!

March Hot Buys

The March Hot Buys have been released and after first glance I'm thinking, "These are nice". That's a bad thing for me though because usually after first glance at a Hot Buys list I'm thinking, "These are gorgeous" and now I'm only thinking that the March Hot Buys nice? Only two item of clothing really stood out to me, the purple HotBuys jumpsuit and skirt, now they're hot but some of the others are just, "meh". Anyway I'm going to act like an annoying teacher and review and grade them.

1. Splendid Hot Buys Earrings- These ‘Tuff Cookie’ earrings are hot and funky. They look like something you might see in an R'n'B Music Video. They would go well with a LBD or any hip-hop themed outfit. I love the unique shape and therefore giving them an A-

2. Bisou Hot Buys Denim Jacket- This jacket's style is fairly unique and fresh but to me it doesn't really look, how would you say, Hot Buys-worthy. However, I'm not saying it isn't nice but when it comes to grading it... B-

3. Rio Hot Buys Bodycon Dress- Hmm.. this 'Luella' dress does seem very exotic but there's something about it that doesn't seem very 'attractive' to me. The original is much nicer as in the original they used hot pink and deep black that differs from the almost-faded colours Stardoll used. I like the assymetric shape though and will give it a B-

4. Fudge Hot Buys Shoes- These shoes are cool, funky and Stardoll definitely picked the right shop for them, they are everything 'Fudge' is meant to be about! They would go nice with a tracksuit the same colour but when it comes to how fashionable they are.. not so stylish. You wouldn't expect to see these on the cover of Vogue now! Also as I said with the denim jacket, these shoes don't look really HotBuys-worthy, more like normal runners. For that reason I'll have to give them a C+

5. Pretty in Pink Hot Buys Skirt- I have this skirt in real life! :) It's from 'ASOS', the number one online boutique where you can order clothes! I was like 'Yay', the first item of clothing I can own in real life and virtually. Back to actually reviewing the skirt, I love it! I think it's high fashion yet fun (did I mention that it's comfortable?). It would go well with a black top and black tights and when it comes to grading, it has to be an A+

6. Bisou Hot Buys Jumpsuit- I think this mini purple jumpsuit is hot! I'll never grow tired of that colour! Jumpsuits are big for the runways now and that black and gold belt perfects it! I will definitely be saving my Stardollars for this! A+

7. Pretty in Pink Hot Buys Bracelet- This 'Diseya' "Call Me" gold bracelet is cute and flirty. Text bracelets are the next big thing and I really want that trend. I like to get one of these in real life as well as Stardoll and when it comes to being the teacher that has to grade them I'll give it an A-

8. Pretty in Pink Hot Buys Circle Purse- This handbag is also from 'ASOS' but would I buy it in real life? No. Don't get me wrong I do think it's a cute bag and everything but I think the studs and feathers make it look too 'Western-crashed-into-Barbie'. Although I probably will end up buying it on Stardoll because it's a Hot Buy! Yes, I am stupid like that! :) Grading time... C+

9. Pretty in Pink Hot Buys Denim Dress- It looks like something I've seen before somewhere on this website but I like it! It is from '3.1 Philip Lim' and in my opinion it's chic and very suitable for strolling around the park or city in Spring! B+

10. Bisou Hot Buys Trousers- There's something strange about these trousers, above on the '10 Hot Buys' picture they look lovely and stylish but on the 'Winter Hot Buys' doll they look sort of ugly. The reason for the difference, you ask? In the '10 Hot Buys' picture they are grey trousers with chic white stripes and a shiny texture but on the doll it is still a pair of grey trousers but with tacky black stripes. It makes all the difference! For that reason I can't grade them until we see what pair comes out in the Starplaza!

Style_Magazine is a new author for the original Stardoll Magazine. Above is her fierce banner for when she's posting. Her first post was amazing and the graphics were super funky.

In the post, 'Oscar Fashion: Fantastic Four' she suggested what the four Oscar-nominated actresses should wear to the Oscars. She gives a designer brand that would suit each of them, explains her choice and made a great graphic to go with each one, showing the most-suited dress. Below is the image she made of what she thinks Angelina should wear.

Coincidence?

A few days ago I recieved a message from Stardoll notifying me that there was a new Top Spot Topic in Club Style_Magazine. In the topic Style asked us what one change we would make to Stardoll if we could as seen below.

Then one girl, Melissakuh, said her friend lady_laura_xxx had a great idea to make a search engine in the StarBazaar. That a search engine would make it easier to find the clothes you want! Now that would be handy! This then started everybody talking how good that would be and that, that would be a great change to Stardoll. I can't say I don't agree either!

Funnily enough, the next day when I logged onto Stardoll, what did I see but a search engine in the StarBazaar! In my opinion Stardoll are taking tips from her popular club, then again some could say it's a meer coincidence.

You decide: coincidence or are Stardoll taking hints from her club?

Inspired By Latino

Contradicting my last post, Stardoll released some brand new Latino inspired clothes this morning, as seen above, all from Folk. I really like the Spanish beige and red dress, it's fun, flirty and exotic! What's your favourite?

One of the releases which isn't really Latino-ish (if that's even a word?) is the pensioner-leopard HotBuys jacket which I like but don't love, but it's a HotBuy so I bought it. Yes, I am weird like that! :)

More and More Re-Releases

It seems like Stardoll are re-releasing clothes every day! It's not only that that's annoying me though, they only re-release the ugliest and most boring, not very well designed clothes.
I mean take this absolutely hideous dress for example, to me it looks like some black plastic someone threw up on. You'll probably get a laugh out of this- it's 6 Stardollars and for Superstars only- whereas you can get gorgeous HotBuys cheaper and for everyone!

On the lighter side of today's Stardoll news, the newest gift dress I got is pretty awesome!

It's unusual in a good way. Perfect for a par-tay! It looks like you're wearing wrapping paper or that you were a present torn open in excitement.

The real question is, what do you think? (Please comment!)

Happy Valentines Day

To celebrate this lovey-dovey occassion Stardoll have given us this free gorgeous red "I Love You" lipstick. I love the design on it, talking about fabulous!

Also the Feburary issue of TeenStyle has been released today. The Romance Issue. I can guarantee you a great read from this, with very well written articles by Castile Lee and Kasia Font. The graphics are once again amazing too and as you can see from the cover Lou and Keisha from Stardoll's Fashion Forward are the covergirls who done an exclusive interview and a romantic vintage-themed virtual photoshoot. The winners of a previous competition Selena held, Rhiann (Welsh_Witch) and Gabrielle (Punkyfish2007) were models for the Party Selections article. They wore various funky party dresses in the graphics whereas in the article Castile explained the 6 hottest party trends for this year.

Overall the magazine is great! I recommend you read it too!

Valentine Vogue

This Valentine's Day is all about looking great and being stylish. Lucky for us Stardoll users Stardoll has provided us with a way of doing that virtually too.

There has been a release of two new shops and MiniShop releases especially for this lovely occassion.

One for us users that don't exactly have thousands of Stardollars to spend on pixels and the ones that do.

Exhibit A

The Little Pink Shop

How couldn't you love this adorable shop, I mean how could you fault a shop so cute with that funky layout and adorable teddies? The clothes mightn't be the hottest, I admit but you have to say they are they are fresh 'n' flirty! This shop would be perfect for little girlies and they would probably scream with excitement after first sight, (not that I did or anything... OK I admit I did!) Back to the topic of the post, this shop is perfect for St. Valentines Day especially if you're not loaded with Stardolllars, another great thing? Most of it is for Non-Superstars too! Hottest Clothing Item:

I am in love with these red hot shoes! I know I already have the in pink (from the Elle Collection) but I never knew how hot they'd be in red until now.

Fashion Don't: Those red-striped-white leggings in my opinion are... eew. The lines aren't proportioned and what would you wear those ugly leggings with? Well.. that's my opinion, some of you may love them!

Limited Edition i.e Ludicrously Expensive

Eeeh... expensive much? It would probaly cost you thousands of stardollars just to buy the whole collection. I mean I have been saving up for ages and could only afford sunglasses, shorts, a bikini, a t-shirt, a skirt, a bag, a belt and shoes. All the nice things were gone by the time I got there like the hearts tank, Cupid dress etc. They got my hopes up though because they said a few nice things were still available but when I went to buy them it said 'Chosen Item Not Available'. Glitches, again? Sorry I'm getting carried away... I'm supposed to be writing about Valentine's Day shops and the reason this new one is, well, inspire by St. Valentine is obviously because everything is covered with hearts! I found one lucky user who has the whole collection, fionamcgonigle. Tell me if you have the whole collection!

Hottest Clothing Item:

The Cupid Dress. I love it so much, I was so dissapointed when it said it wasn't available!

Fashion Don't:

Either of these two hideous things! That pink baggy maternity top or those tacky jeans? It makes me laugh that someone would have to pay 350 for both of them! Stardoll, will you ever learn? I wouldn't buy either of them if they were for free!

Aah, my favourite of them all. I even made a Valentine's room with the fabulous furniture and the cute critters. Sorry for my boring alliteration! :) I think everything is so romantic and chic. Also I love the Valentines interior, then again though, is there an interior I don't love? Oh yes, the clothes or bikini sort thing I am wearing above are from LE, some of the few things I managed to get! You might think I'm dressed like a sl*t but no, I was just trying to find something hot and rare because Valentine's day is approaching! One more thing some of my friends asked me where I got the love cards- you get them as gifts- I got most of them from a certain boy I won't mention on this to avoid embarrasment! Love ya!
